Subject to inspec­tion: pres­sure and poten­tially explo­sive systems

Pressure equipment, steam boilers and many piping systems are systems that require monitoring. They must be maintained and operated in proper condition at all times and monitored regularly. Necessary maintenance work must be carried out at once and the necessary safety measures must be taken in line with the prevailing circumstances.

So-called “Ex systems” or plants with explosion hazards are specific complete plants such as tank farms in refineries, petrol stations, waste incineration, and flour-processing or biogas plants. However, this also includes safety equipment in Ex plants (e.g. petrol pumps, gas warning systems and ventilation systems). These systems must also be maintained in proper condition and inspected.
