Plant safety
Installations according to the AwSV
AwSV – facilities for handling substances that are hazardous to water
The requirements of soil and water protection impose many tasks on plant operators. As an operator of facilities that handle substances hazardous to water, you must have their leak tightness and the functionality of the safety equipment constantly monitored. GTÜ-Anlagensicherheit GmbH, the GTÜ subsidiary for plant safety, offers you the legally required inspections, specialist company monitoring and advice on any questions that you may have as a result of these requirements.
Testing of heating oil tanks
As the owner of a heating oil tank, you must have your tank inspected regularly. The Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Substances that are Hazardous to Water (AwSV) instructs that private heating oil tank installations must be inspected by engineers before commissioning, then regularly every five years as well as after decommissioning. In water protection areas, this inspection period is reduced to 2.5 years for underground installations.
